91671: Angus Mackenzie
Angus (1875-1955) was the son of Norman Mackenzie and Margaret Maciver who were cottars at 48 North Tolsta.
Angus joined the Seaforth Militia and served in Cairo during the Boer War.
Angus married Catherine Macdonald of 16 North Tolsta. The address where the couple first settled and had their seven children is not known.
During the First World War he served with the Royal Navy Reserves.
In 1922 the family settled at 1 New Tolsta, which was a newly lotted croft that year.
In due course 1 New Tolsta passed to his youngest son John.
