91697: Mary Campbell

Mary (born 1829) was the daughter of John Campbell and Mary Macdonald. At the time of her birth her family possibly lived in Old South Tolsta Tack, but this is not certain. There are family associations with Ness through her maternal great grandfather and Galson through her father; these are also potential birth places for Mary.

In 1830 the family obtained 17 Old South Tolsta.

In the 1851 croft relottings the family moved to 17/18 North Tolsta, but they were evicted in 1853 and became cottars on Mary’s brothers croft 2a North Tolsta. It is not known if Mary was still living in the parental home at this point.
