91879: Joan Smith

Joan was the daughter of Donald Smith and Isabella Macleod. It is not certain where the family were living at the time of her birth; initially the family were cottars at 11 North Tolsta, but later moved and became cottars at 56 North Tolsta.

In 1922 the family obtained 11 New Tolsta as a newly lotted croft.

Joan married John Campbell, of 19c North Tolsta, and settled with him in Glasgow. They had two sons and a daughter.

Joan was widowed in 1942.

Joan’s second marriage was to Leonard Adams.
