91970: Christina Murray

Christina (born 1847) was the daughter of Donald Murray and Isabella Maciver. The location of her birth is not certain, it is likely to have been one of her grandparents crofts. Her maternal grandparents lived at 21 Old South Tolsta and her paternal grandparents at 15 Old South Tolsta.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, both sets of grandparents changed their address; her maternal grandparents to 23 North Tolsta and her paternal grandparents to 27 North Tolsta.

In 1858 her parents obtained 22 North Tolsta and the family settled there.

In 1881 Christina had a child: Mary Murray; they lived at 22 North Tolsta.

Christina married John Graham, of 56 Back, and the couple settled as cottars at 56 Back and had a daughter: Christina.

In 1888 the family emigrated to Manitoba, Canada.

While in Quebec she attacked and drove away a bear that had attacked one of her cows.

Later she moved to Vancouver.
