John Smith
John (1846-1924) was the son of John Smith and Catherine Macdonald, of 4 Old North Tolsta.
In 1853 the family obtained 24 North Tolsta.
John married Elizabeth Macleod, of 58 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 24 North Tolsta, which John inherited in due course. They had thirteen children: five girls and eight boys.
John was widowed in 1905.
In due course 24 North Tolsta passed to his son-in-law John Macleod.
