Kenneth (b1887) was the son of John Smith and Elizabeth Macleod, 24 North Tolsta.

He married Jessie Murray of 30 North Tolsta and they moved to Glasgow.  The couple had four sons, two of whom (Kenneth and Angus) grew up to be Reverends.  Kenneth's step son Murdo Kenneth also grew up to be a Reverend. Their eldest son Iain became an engineer and married late in life (in 1995). Their youngest son John died young.

In his old age Kenneth returned to the Isle of Lewis and lived at the Free Church Manse in Ness, with his son Angus, (1928 - 27/08/2019).
