Kenneth (born 1868) was the son of Donald Macdonald and Catherine Macleod. The family were cottars at 37 North Tolsta.

In 1873 the family emigrated to Lake Megantic, Canada.

Kenneth married Henrietta Murray, a first cousin of his, of the Eastern Townships of Quebec. Henrietta had emigrated, with her family, from 27 North Tolsta in 1884.
