9230: James Thompson

James Thompson (Seumas Dhomhnuill Tamsoin), 18 Aird, Tong, was for many years the Head of the Gaelic Department in the Nicolson Institute before becoming Headmaster of Bayble School from 1922-1953. He was a noted Gaelic scholar and poet and was the first to be crowned Bard by An Comunn Gaidhealach at the Inverness Mod, 1923.
