92300: Donald Maciver

Donald (1877-1972) was the son of Donald Maciver and Annie Macleod, of 28 North Tolsta.

In 1887 Donald lost a sister in infancy.

In 1901, Donald’s eldest sister died in her mid twenties and his youngest brother died age 12. 

Donald married Christina  Maciver, of 33 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 28 North Tolsta. 28 North Tolsta passed to Donald in due course. Between 1903 and 1923 the couple had eight children: four boys and four girls.

In 1903 Donald’s brother Angus died at 19 years old. Donald’s first child was born the same year and christened Angus, sadly he died the following year as did Donald’s father.

In 1906 Donald’s sister Margaret died aged 14 years.

Donald was widowed in 1962.

In due course 28 North Tolsta passed to their youngest daughter.
