Donald (born 1922) was the son of Murdo Macdonald and Murdina Maciver, of 28a North Tolsta.
Donald married Mary Isobel Bronlund, of New Zealand, and the couple settled at 28a North Tolsta, which passed to Donald in due course.
The couple had five children: all boys.
