92394: Mary Morrison

Mary Morrison (1819-1890) was the daughter of Alex Morrison and Janet Murray, of 40 Lower Barvas.

In 1844, Mary married John Maciver of 4b Old South Tolsta. The couple settled at 4b Old South, which was a newly split croft the previous year. They had three children at 4b Old South Tolsta.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 30 North Tolsta. The couple had a further five children there. In total they had eight children: four boys and four girls.

Mary was widowed in 1878.

In due course 30 North Tolsta passed to their son-in-law John Murray.
