92574: Donald Macleod

Donald (born 1898) was the son of Norman Macleod and Christina Campbell; the family were cottars at 53 North Tolsta.

During the First World War Donald served with the Canadians.

He married Dolina Macleod, of 34 North Tolsta, and the couple probably settled at the cottars house at 53 North Tolsta. They had no children.

In 1933 Donald’s uncle, Angus Macleod, died and at this time or in 1945, after the death of his aunt, Ann Maclennan, he inherited 53 North Tolsta.

In due course 53 North Tolsta passed to his wife’s nephew.
