92594: Mary Mackay
Mary (1879-1914) was the daughter of Annie Mackay, of 50 North Tolsta. The family lived with Mary’s grandparents at 50 North Tolsta.
Mary’s mother married John Mackenzie and they settled as cottars at 50 North Tolsta, where they had four sons, half brothers to Mary. The family moved to Stornoway, but Mary did not accompany them to either address.
Mary married William Macleod, of 34 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at the cottars house at 50 North Tolsta. They had three children: a girls and two boys.
The family emigrated to Canada.
In 1914 they returned to live at the cottars house at 34 North Tolsta, which her husband had inherited.
After Mary’s death her widower married again.
