92783: Christina Maciver
Christina (born 1896) was the daughter of Kenneth Maciver and Annie Macdonald, of 38 North Tolsta.
On the night of the Iolaire disaster Christina had taken her father’s gig to meet her brother. She bought home all five of the Tolsta men who survived the sinking. Her brother’s body was bought home two days later, also in the gig.
Christina married Murdo Macdonald, of 48 North Tolsta, and settled there with him as cottars. The couple had four children: three boys and a girl.
In due course the cottars house at 38 North Tolsta passed to their eldest son.
