Donald (1839-1898) was the son of Donald Mackay and Christina Macleod, of 2 Old South Tolsta.
Donald’s father died around 1845.
In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 42 North Tolsta.
In 1890 Donald’s mother died and 42 North Tolsta passed to Donald.
Donald never married.
In due course 42 North Tolsta passed to his sister: Mary.
