92958: Catherine Graham

Catherine (1869-1940) was the daughter of Murdo Graham, of 25 South Dell.

Catherine married Murdo Mackay, of 66 North Tolsta, it is not certain where the couple initially settled.

In 1917, after the death of Mary Mackay, the family obtained 42 North Tolsta: by this time the couple had had all eleven of their children. It is possible that the family were living at 42 North Tolsta, as cottars, prior to them obtaining it as their own croft, but this is as yet unconfirmed.

The couple had two daughters called Christina; one of them became a nurse and served with the foreign mission in Peru.

Catherine was widowed in 1936.

In due course 42 North Tolsta passed to her daughter, nurse Christina.
