Catherine (born 1927) was the daughter of William Macdonald and Henrietta Macdonald; the family were cottars at 51 North Tolsta.

Catherine had a son in 1945.

Catherine married Donald Macleod, of 32 Ranish, and the couple settled at 42 Newvalley. Catherine's son stayed at 51 North Tolsta with her parents. The couple had at least three children.
