93349: Margaret Nicolson

Margaret (1839-1915) was the daughter of Donald Nicolson and Mary Macdonald; it is not clear where the family were living at the time of her birth. Her father had links to Coulregrein and North Dell and her mother had links to Carloway.

In 1851, during the croft relottings, her paternal grandparents obtained 1 Coll and at some point, before 1858, this passed to her father.

Margaret married Donald Murray, of 52 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 52 North Tolsta, which Donald inherited. The couple had eight children: four girls and four boys.

Margaret was widowed in 1906.

In due course 52 North Tolsta passed to their youngest son: John.
