Evander (1864-1942) was the son of Donald Murray and Isabella Maciver of 61 North Tolsta.
His mother died in 1880 and his father later married Effie Macleod. His half brother died in 1885.
Evander married Margaret Graham, of 58 Coll, and the couple settled at 58 Coll. They had no children. 58 Coll passed to Evander from his in-laws: Ann Macleod and John Graham.
In due course 58 Coll passed to John Mackay.
