Donald Macleod lived at 23 Ranish, but it is not certain he was born there.

Donald married Catherine Macdonald, of 51 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 42 Newvalley. Donald became step father to Catherine’s son, but he never lived with them. The couple went on to have at least three children together. They later moved to Assaye Place.
