John Murdo (born 1936) was the son of Duncan Mackay and Annie Murray of 18 New Tolsta.
John purchase Eastview, 4a Lochside, North Tolsta. The previous occupants were John Macmillan and Christina Mackay (John Murdo’s aunt).
John married a woman from Tolsta and the couple settled at Eastview; they had two daughters.
Later the family moved to Inverness and the house was sold to a man in the Whisky industry.
