Kate (1924-1972) was the daughter of Murdo Macdonald and Ann Maciver of 1 Lochside, North Tolsta.

Kate married Donald Finlayson, of 2 Marvig; the couple settled in Glasgow and had two sons and a daughter.

After her death her widower returned to Lewis and married again.
