94770: Kenneth Maclean

Kenneth (died 1984) was the eldest son of Rev Duncan Maclean and Constance Maginnis, of Lochcarron.

In August 1972 his father became a minister and the family settled at the Free Presbyterian Manse, North Tolsta. Kenneth suffered from muscular dystrophy and was already in a wheelchair by this time. Two of Kenneth’s brothers also suffered from muscular dystrophy.

In 1975 the family lost a baby daughter.

In October 1979 the family moved to Borve, Harris.

After Kenneth’s death his father became an alcoholic and was suspended from the ministry in 1985. The family then returned to Lochcarron.
