Angus Macinnes

Angus Macinnes

Angus (1785-1868) was the son of John Macinnes and Marion Macleod of Harris.

Angus's mother died and his father went on to marry Catherine Munro.

Sometime between 1814 and 1820 his John and Catherine obtained 5 Brollum.

Angus married Margaret Macaskill from Harris. It is not clear where the couple initially settled or where their first four children were born. At some point he lived in Eishken, but it is not clear when.

Sometime in the 1820s the family obtained 13 Old Lemreway as a newly lotted croft. It is not clear how many of their children were born there, but Donald definitely was.

In 1843 Lemreway was cleared and the family were removed to 1 Glen Tolsta. Their son Angus was born there. In total they had five children: three boys and two girls.

Margaret died in 1864.

In due course 1 Glen Tolsta passed to his youngest son Donald.
