94912: Donald Macleod
Donald (1821-1897) was the son of Alexander Macleod and Christina Macleod; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of his birth.
By 1833 the family were settled at 5 Old Back.
In 1851 the family settled at 38 Back.
Donald married Flora Macleod, of Gress, and the couple settled at the Shepherds House, Glen Tolsta. They had eight children: one girl and seven boys. Three of their sons died in infancy.
The house then passed to the next shepherd, Kenneth Martin, but he never lived there.
