95372: Margaret Maciver

Margaret (1794-1870) was the daughter of Evander Maciver and Mary Macleod; it is not certain where the family were living at the time of her birth.

She married Norman Maciver, but it is not known where the couple initially settled. At some point they settled on Old South Tolsta Tack, but they do not appear to have been official sub-tenants. There is speculation that her husband was a fisherman so the family may have lived near the beach rather than on the main part of the Tack.

In 1820 the family settled at 3 Aird. That same year her father is named as a sub-tenant in Old South Tolsta Tack.

Once at 3 Aird the couple had their final six children. In total they had eight children.

In 1830, during the croft relottings, her parents obtained 21 Old South Tolsta.
