Donald, born 1837 was a son of Donald Macaskill and Isabella Morrison, 22 Upper Bravas. He married the Upper Barvas millers daughter Isabella Urquhart Robertson of 5 Upper Barvas. They had 13 children. The family emigrated to New Zealand in 1872.
