9999: Peggy Macleod
Peggy (1919-2022) was a daughter of John Macleod and Roderickina Macleod, 10 Geshader. In the 1950s, she moved with her family to 13 Sand Street, Coulregrein, Stornoway. Peggy served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS) during the Second World War. She worked in Kenneth Macdonald’s Chemist Shop in Stornoway for over forty years.
Peggy spent the last five years of her life in Dun Eisdean Care Home. She is buried in the family plot at Ardroil Cemetery.
