119593: The Scottish Emigration Database

The Scottish Emigration Database is an online resource containing information from the passenger manifests of the Board of Trade’s Statistical Department held at The National Archives.

The database is hosted by the Arts and Humanities Research Council Centre for Irish and Scottish Studies at the University of Aberdeen. It aims to be a quantitative resource for diaspora studies, and with particular reference to geographical origins, occupations, age profile and family composition of emigrants.
