5184: Old Parish Register (Uig)

The Old Parish Register for Uig covers from 1824 to the late 1850s. It provides dates for banns, marriages, births and baptisms but is not complete. Births were sometime registered months or even years after the fact, when the exact date had been forgotten by the informant.

The Register is held by the Lewis District Registration Service.
