SOCKS FOR SOLDIERS – The girls of the townships of Valtos, Kneep, Carishader and Mangersta have sent, through Mrs Allan Mackenzie, Uig Manse, a number of socks for Highland Regiments, to the Association of Highland Regiments, Edinburgh, of which Fred. Macleod Esq, 34 St.Albans Road, is Hon. Sec. Mr Macleod will supply wool for more socks to willing knitters, and Mrs Mackenzie will be glad to get the names of any girls who are willing to assist in this good work.
