…On the following morning an old man in Geshader, Alexander Maciver (Alasdair Choinnich) quietly passed away. He had been up as usual the day previous but during the night the end came.

On Sunday last another Geshader, old lady, Miss Annie Maciver (Anna Dhomhnaill) was taken to her last long rest. For some time her health had been failing, but her Christian cheerfulness continued to the end.
