VALTOS PUBLIC SCHOOL In connection with the prizes offered by Dr. Porter for the best-told Lewis folk-lore tales written in Gaelic, the following pupils of Valtos School have been successful in securing money prizes:-

Annie M. Matheson 2nd prize (equal); Margaret M. Matheson 4th prize; Margaret Matheson 5th prize (equal); Christine Mackay 5th prize (equal).

To each of the unsuccessful competitors the Doctor sends book prizes and the sum of one shilling.
