113127: HMT Rinovia

The HMT Rinovia was built, as the Blakkur, for Rinovia Steam Fishing, Grimsby, by Cook, Welton & Gemmell, Beverley; Yard No 566; she was launched on the 27th of August 1937.

In 1938 she was renamed Rinovia (GY.378). On the 10th of December 1938 she ran aground on Ruskholm, Orkney; all the crew were rescued.

On the 31st of August 1939 she was requisitioned by the Royal Navy and converted into a mine-sweeper.

In September 1940 she ran aground near Dartmouth, but was re-floated.

On the 2nd of November 1940 she was sunk by a mine off Falmouth Bay, 2.9 miles off Anthony Light, Falmouth.
