Malcolm (1902-1993) was the son of Malcolm Maciver and Mary Macarthur, Dingwall Barracks. His father was a soldier in the Seaforth Highlanders.
The family settled at 10 Knock Carloway and later moved to Tayvallich, Knock Carloway. Malcolm was a Police Officer in Glasgow.
He married Mary Macdonald from Glasgow. Malcolm and Mary lived in Glasgow and they had three children. The couple later moved to the Isle of Arran.
Malcolm was widowed in 1990.
