Catherine (1799-1895) was a daughter of John Maciver, 40 Breasclete.

 She married Murdo Macdonald from Swordale and formerly Scapraid, North Lochs. The couple settled at 8 Swordale and in the 157 re-lotting obtained 2 Swordale. Catherine and Murdo had eight children.

Catherine was widowed in 1874.
