Iain Roib

John (born 1903) was a son of Robert Dempster and Mary Ann Macraild, Kinloch Rannoch. The family moved to the Isle of Lewis and initially lived at the Gamekeeper's House at Valmus. The family later settled at  Seaforth Head Schoolhouse.

John's father was a Gamekeeper at Eishken Estate and John was a Ghillie.
