Murdo (1829-1894) was a son of Donald Munro and Mary Mackinnon. His father was a Shepherd and they lived in The Shiant Islands, Eilean Anabaich, North Harris, Frith na Hearadh, near Cliasmol, Molinginish and the villages of Pairc.
In Lochs, in 1859, he married Margaret Gillies, Croigarry. Murdo and Murdo were Cottars at Croigarry and they had three children. In the 1870s the family obtained 60 Leurbost.
Murdo was widowed in 1889.
