61304: Malcolm Macleod
Calum Dhomhnaill Anna
Malcolm (1893-1976) was a son of Donald Macleod and Annie Macdonald who relocated from 2 Crulivig to 5 Lundale sometime in the early 1900s.
He served as a Sergeant with the Seaforths Highlanders during the First World War. Malcolm was badly wounded and gassed at Neuve Chapelle. His brother Roderick was killed in the same battle and he wrote the poem A memory of Neuve Chapelle, 10th March 1915 in memory of him.
Malcolm emigrated to the United States of America where he was employed as a banker.
He was married in Ontario to Margaret Macdonald another immigrant from Ness. The couple had three children.
