Donald (born 1833-1909) was a son of Donald Macaulay and Margaret Macdonald, Breasclete, Bernera.

In 1855 the family emigrated to Canada and settled at Southampton, Bruce County, Ontario.

He married Ann Macleod from Bruce County and formerly of 19 Brue. Donald and Ann live in Southampton and they had ten children.
