Niall Uilleim
Neil (1791-1877) was a son of William Macleod and Margaret Macleod, Frith na Hearadh near Cliasmol, Harris. His mother died and his father married Catherine Macleod from Harris.
The family moved to 4 Old Eishken.
Neil married Margaret Morrison of 2a Leacklee. Neil and Margaret settled at 2 Caverstay and they had six children.
They were Cottars at 2 Caverstay. The sitting tenant was Allan Macleod from Keose who was married to Neil's daughter, Margaret. The young couple were living with the family in 1841 and at 2 Ranish in 1851.
The family moved to Crobeg and were recorded there in 1851 and were living at 2 Caverstay in 1861.
