111649: Peace and Plenty

The Peace and Plenty was a ship that carried 59 emigrants from Lochbroom to the mainland in November of 1774. It’s captain Charles Mackenzie had aboard one of the most famous emigrants of all: Alexander Mackenzie of Kenneth Street. Alexander was a young boy at the time but went on to discover the Mackenzie River and become to the first to cross North America from coast to coast.
