The SS Gogovale was a Steel Screw Steamer built by Lithgows Ltd, Port Glasgow in 1927 for the Crawford Shipping Co.
On passage from Liverpool to Montreal the SS Gogovale was torpedoed and sunk 600 miles west of Scotland with the loss of 3 crew on August 4, 1940.
