SS Athelfoam was a Steam Tanker built by Irvine's Shipbuilding and Drydock Co Ltd, West Hartlepool in 1918 for the Shipping Controller, London.

The ship was bombed and sunk on April 9, 1942 by Japanese Aircraft whilst serving as a Royal Fleet Auxiliary.
