120258: HMS Manchester City (15)

The HMS Manchester City was a Town Class Light Cruiser built by Hawthorn Leslie & Co, Hebburn-on-Tyne in 1937 for the Royal Navy.

On August 13, 1942 the HMS Manchester was hit by an Italian Torpedo Boat with the loss of 11 crew. The ship was scuttled and the Captain and four of his officers were later court martialled for prematurely scuttling the ship.
