10561: 27 Balallan

The first known tenant of this croft was Donald Macdonald (1770-). It is not known where he came from.

John Montgomery (1813-1896) moved from Shieldinish to Balallan in c1842.

Colin Smith (1882-1918), 13 Balallan moved here with his family and his son Malcolm (1911-1978) inherited the croft. They moved to Aviemore in 1952 and the croft was sold to William Macdonald, 54a Balallan.
