This croft was created when Murdo Macphail (1772-1860) split the croft between his son Norman, 6 Knock; John, 7 Knock and nephew Malcolm, 8 Knock.  In the 1860s, Norman Macphail exchanged the croft with Donald Macleod, 22 Knock.
