The original Crofting Tenant of 9 Calbost was Murdo Morrison (1797-1870). After his death the croft was split between sons, John and Alexander. John obtained 9a Calbost and Alexander 9b.

John (1828-1907) passed the croft at 9a Calbost to his son, Angus (1852-1936) who passed it to his son, Murdo (1878-1949). The croft passed to Murdo's son Angus (1908-1976) who moved to 100 Newmarket after the Second World War. 

The croft at 9a passed to Kenina Morrison (1906-1986) along with 9b Calbost.
