Donald Macdonald "Domhnall ‘an Lundal", 2 Lundale was allocated this croft. Employed as a ghillie at Grimersta he began to build a house here in 1934, but work commitments and serving in Malta during the war years meant little time was spent on the croft. In December 1952 Donald was drowned in Stornoway harbour and his brother Malcolm inherited the tenancy. He passed the tenancy to his brother-in-law Allan Macaskill from Gravir. The house has been sold on since then and the croft tenancy has been passed out of the family.
