The first tenant of 22 Gravir in the 1852 lotting of this croft was Catherine Mackenzie (1776–1853) the widow of Malcolm Maciver who came from Carloway. She passed the croft to her son-in-law Donald Nicolson (1811-1859) married to Anne Maciver (1813-1887). Donald passed the croft to his son, Malcolm Nicolson (1850-1924) who passed 22 Gravir to his son John Murdo Nicolson (1894-1967). John Murdo passed the croft to his daughter Christy Ann (1925-2010).

Jane Nicolson (1848-1924) unmarried daughter of Donald Nicolson (1811-1859) was a Cottar on 22 Gravir.
